History
Penn Drinks is the result of the frustration of Penn students who hated carrying heavy drinks back to their rooms on a regular basis. The convenient alternatives (ABP, cafes, etc.) will save you the hassle of carrying drinks, but they'll charge you $1.89 for a water or $1.49 for a soda for that convenience. We thought that there had to be a better way, so we created Penn Drinks.
Our Solution
Our solution is relatively simple: you select 20 drinks to fill up a box, submit an order, and we'll bring the box(es) right to you. We tried to make the process of choosing drinks a fun one. If you've ever seen an online grocery store, you might have seen hundreds of options with unclear labeling/sizing. Our system limits your options to the ~40 most popular drinks, organized by category, and allows you to hover over any drink to see more info. If you want to add a drink to your box, simply drag it to the main box area. If you want a lot (say, 5 or 10) of the same drink, drag the bar at the bottom left to the desired number of drinks you'd like added at a time.
People
Jason Toff is a senior at Penn and enjoys Dragonfruit Vitamin Water. He serves as a delivery driver, drink-carrier, and Sam's club aficionado (...and as co-president).
Kelly Schaefer is also a senior at Penn and prefers Poland Springs over Aquafina. Kelly's specialties include assembling boxes, filling them with drinks, and affixing labels. Kelly holds two fine distinctions: being co-president of Penn Drinks and being the only female delivery person in the eastern seaboard.
While not trying to convince Kelly & Jason that Gatorade will be the most popular drink on the website, Kyle Goldman advises the company on broader level goals.
